Excellent Education for Every Child
Bringing positive transformation and growth to disadvantaged communities through holistic and education support in a context of faith, hope and love.

Our Motivation
Poverty
"...remember the poor..." (Gal 2:10)
So many communities in Africa find themselves battling with the realities of poverty – challenges of food insecurity and poor nutrition; unemployment and lack of opportunity; crime and societal degradation, all leading to a cycle of disadvantage and despair.
Population
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." (Matt 9:37)
In 100 years' time, Africa is likely to be the most populous continent on the planet with roughly 4.5 billion people. The exponential population growth and the rapidly rising cost-of-living compared to the slow rate of development, at this stage, forecasts a bleak future for Africa. These problems will inevitably overflow to increasingly become global problems.
Poor Education
"South Africa has finished last in the WEF's maths and science rankings" - Trialogue Knowledge Hub (2016)
Education is one of the most powerful forces that has the potential to break the poverty cycle and create new pathways for the future. However, looking at the ratings of literacy, maths and science and various other indicators, the current performance in South Africa is way below global standards. This story is echoed across many African nations, most of which are way less developed than South Africa.

Our Mission
Education for Life
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10)
OUR THEORY OF CHANGE:
Because education is a key driver in helping poor communities out of poverty, we work in disadvantaged areas around South Africa to help government schools and local communities sustainably deliver excellent education and holistic support for young people from conception to career.
We work hand-in-hand with the communities and a team of organisations bringing whole-school-support programmes and the vital support needed in the crucial years before and beyond school.
Fuelled by God's love, our goal is to see a radical shift towards positive educational outcomes and tangible socioeconomic upliftment in each community within 5-10 years.
Our Work

XL360 – Education for Life
Working in partnership with Nika Capital and many other organisations, we offer education-centred support from conception to career, partnering together to help create communities of abundance. This involves three key chapters:

Early Life
Acknowledging the critical importance of development in the 'first 1000 days' and beyond, together with key partners like Start Well and HOEP, we bring support to parents, carers and ECD practitioners to maximise positive growth in the early years.
Education
Partnering together with government schools and their local communities, we aim to bring holistic and multifaceted support, helping each school to become a healthy and thriving environment to help each child excel to the best of their ability.

Employment & Entrepreneurship
Helping young adults find their unique pathway to employment or entrepreneurship through programs like our WOW (World of Work) Explorer and Job Journey, as well as developing skills and bringing inspiration with the Young Entrepreneurs Foundation.

Skills Development
With a vast shortage of skills in our nation, we are playing our part to help young people develop skills in everything from sustainable agriculture to ICT training. We are starting small, but growing steadily.

Academic Excellence Programme
We have run numerous initiatives over the years – for example, in 2024, with help from Beyond Legacy Trust and Abundance City Church, we supported the top 50 learners in Maths and Science from across Mogodumo Circuit with our weekly 'XL Eagles' program. This led to the highest quality STEM results this group of schools has ever had, doubling the number of Maths and Science distinctions.
